Project 2007 Refining a Project Plan


Learn to apply calendars to tasks and modify task relationships. Understand how to work with task constraints and task deadlines. Also learn how to use PERT analysis to determine task durations and create "what if" scenarios.

Prerequisite Skills

  • Comfortable with the Windows environment

  • Comfortable with calendars and tasks in Microsoft Project 2007
    (Suggested course: Project 2007 Getting Started)

Course Description

Attend this course if you want to:

  • View the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

  • Add recurring tasks.

  • Apply a specific calendar to a task.

  • Modify task relationships.

  • Split a task so that it stops at a designated point and restarts later.

  • Add Lag time or Lead time to tasks.

  • Add task constraints.

  • Apply a deadline date to a task.

  • Use PERT analysis to determine task durations and create "what if" scenarios.

  • Use the Task Drivers Task Pane to identify how tasks are linked.

  • Attach additional files within a project file.

  • Link to another file.
